Bike Expo – Manchester’s cycling exhibition – is returning to Event City in 2017, on March 18th and 19th.
The organiser has adopted an exciting new strategy, which is aimed at broadening the show’s audience and increasing its footfall. Responding to visitor feedback and consumer trends, Hamerville Media Group is expanding the show beyond its traditional road cycling bias, so 2017’s event will also cater for the BMX (both flatland and park), mountain biking (endurance and downhill), commuter, and electric bike markets.
As well as hosting a wide range of exhibitors from across the cycling spectrum, the Expo will also include a number of Feature Areas, with each one geared towards a specific cycling discipline. With such an array of activities on offer, there will be something for cyclists of all abilities and ages, giving exhibitors access to a huge consumer audience.
As with previous years, the Expo will feature a large central stage, which will be packed with cycling content, from household-name interviews and coaching seminars to stunt shows and bike maintenance workshops. Due to high demand, and in direct response to a growing consumer trend, the popular fashion show will return to the Expo timetable for 2017, giving brands the opportunity to showcase their latest ranges of clothing and gear.
In the build-up to the Expo, Hamerville will be working alongside a number of media partners, including Immediate Media, Kelsey Media, Manchester Evening News and British Cycling, in order to deliver an extensive trade and consumer marketing campaign. The organiser hopes to capitalise on the growing enthusiasm for cycling, following the incredible success of Britain’s Olympic cyclists, many of whom live and train in Manchester. The show will be extended to include an additional 800m2 compared to last year, but exhibitor space is already filling up fast.
