Any bike makers out there who wish to diversify into making recumbents could get their hands on the rights to produce the classic Speed Ross recumbent

Bike maker sought for recumbent project

This nippy little number was made by Peter Ross in Cornwall for 12 years but the manufacturing rights were later acquired by Kinetics, the Glasgow IBD-cum-distributor.

Ben Cooper of Kinetics said:

"I just haven’t had the time to devote to putting [the Speed Ross] into production, and with us taking on the distribution of Heinzmann motors for the UK I think we’ll be even busier this year."

Any bike maker interested in acquiring the rights from Kinetics would need access to a framebuilding workshop capable of working with steel and preferably aluminium. The deal would have to be approved by Peter Ross, but on offer are the full rights.
