Dave Evans of bike industry focused Spin PR has been short listed for the PRCAs (Public Relations Consultants Association) ‘Freelancer of the Year’ award.
Spin’s nomination was based around the work Dave Evans undertakes for Halfords, focusing on specialist and lifestyle cycling media. Spin is one of three agencies now in the running for the award.
Dave Evans set up Spin after working in house for the likes of Halfords, Berghaus and Future Publishing. It provides specialist PR in the cycle and wider ‘outdoor’ sectors, with clients including Halfords, Garmin and EBC Ltd.
Commenting on the shortlist place, Dave said: “I remember when I started in PR, working for a couple of the large London agencies, the focus and amount of work put into these awards was phenomenal. Given the industry emphasis on the PRCA awards, I’m pretty stoked that I’m down to the last three and fingers crossed I may pick up a gong in November. The recognition is testament to the hard work, ‘practitioner skills’ and a great set of clients.”
