Fisher Outdoor Leisure sent out letters last week informing IBDs of the mid-May open days at the St Albans HQ. However, there were scant details of what would actually be happening. So, here's the first rough idea of what could be on offer if everything goes to plan...

Bike rides and a BBQ at Fisher’s May Festival

The May Festival will take place on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th May.

On the first day there will be a Master-class Fun Ride with MTBers Barrie Clarke, Jamie Norfolk and Helen Mortimer. This will be held off-site.

The warehouse and showroom will be open for product sales and information. This will be the first chance to see production examples of the long-awaited Danlite handlebar-mounted LED stick, and there should also be a few bikes equipped with SRAM’s new trigger shifters.

In the early evening, there will be a BBQ and free booze. Trials guru Martin Hawyes will be jumping around.

On the Thursday, Phil Liggett will lead a 10 mile ride. This will be on the lanes close to Fisher’s St Albans warehouse rather than a static ride on Tacx -i-magic trainers.
