Bike shop staff chase off would-be thief

A bike shop manager and mechanic pursued a would-be thief out of their shop after he attempted to steal a customer’s phone last week.

As reported in the Manchester Evening News, Cycle Republic staffers (from the branch near Piccadilly Station) chased a man out of the shop after he attempted to grab a mobile phone and wallet from a customer who’d placed them in in the shop window while testing out a bike.

The thief lashed out at the pair, who initially restrained him until letting him go when an aggressive friend of thief arrived. Read the full story at MEN.
