Bikerumor.com's coverage of Eurobike kit helped the site achieve 3m page views in a month, claims editor

Bike tech blog nears 1m unique visitors a month

Bikerumor.com was started by Tyler Benedict in July 2008. The blog’s focus on bike tech has seen it generate month-after-month site traffic growth, with Benedict claiming three million monthly page views achieved after the recent coverage of Eurobike.

"I’ve been watching the numbers, and I knew our Eurobike coverage would push us past three million," said Benedict, editor of the blog. "We topped two million for the first time last year, and we don’t see any signs of slowing."

The blog will have five writers covering Interbike in Las Vegas.

"I think our broad coverage of everything related to bikes – the gear, components, frames and manufacturers – appeals to [tech-minded] cyclists regardless of their particular riding style," Benedict said.

"And our format makes it easy to see what’s new without digging through links and galleries."
