You may have seen some of the news highlights on the front page, including industry figures backing the 29er as a fresh business opportunity and press finding it hard to get trackside at the 2012 Olympics, but there’s much more.
We’ve two pages of news and analysis on the recent Taipei Cycle Show on pages six and nine, with the latter discussing the ‘lack of innovation’ seen from bike brands this year.
Anthony McCrossan is one of our guest columnists this month, picking social media and its advantages to the independent bicycle business as his topic.
That article is followed up by Barry Meehan of Clonmel’s World Wide Cycles telling us how he has worked a blog and various social netoworking platforms to the advantage of his firm. See page 12 for that.
Mystery Shopper hits the south coast, visiting five of Brighton’s retailers. See his report on page 14 and 15.
Moore Large’s exhibition, held during March, is documented brand by brand on pages 16 through 18. Highlights come from Velo’s own branded saddles, Limar glasses and a vastly expanded One23 line.
This is followed by a similar review of Hotlines’ Southampton show in which Spank and Ciclosport both had debut appearances.
The Gadget Show Professional exhibition is previewed on 24 and 25.
