Almost 8,500 attendees turn up at Donington Park for bike bash

BikeRadar Live has a ‘fantastic first year’

The first BikeRadar Live has drawn to a close, attracting 8,472 attendees across the two-day event.

The weekend festival attracted cyclists from all disciplines with the chance to watch and compete in dual slaloms, dirt jumping, enduro and child-friendly skills schools. Cyclists also got the chance to ride on Donington’s Formula 1 track, amongst other activities.

The consumer event saw various firms from the trade exhibit including Dahon, Giant, Moore Large, Fisher Outdoor Leisure, Brompton, Raleigh, Sustrans and many more.

Publishing director Peter Stothard told BikeBiz: "We are incredibly happy. The reaction from visitors, exhibitors, riders and sponsors has been overwhelmingly positive.

“For Future, the weekend will be remembered as a fantastic first year – we wanted people of all ages and disciplines to be united by their love of bikes and BikeRadar Live did not disappoint."

"We would like to thank exhibiting partners for supporting us. Response has been so positive that we’ve already had requests for more retailer space and bigger sponsorship opportunities for next year.”
