Bikerumor tech blog celebrates tenth birthday

Tyler Benedict – pictured – is celebrating the tenth birthday of his bike tech website Bikerumor.com. The blog first saw the light of day in July 2008, and Benedict says it has "become the global source for everyone wanting to discover the latest and greatest from brands large and small."

He added: "Our rapid-fire, easy-to-read format has helped us attract an audience of millions of tech-savvy cyclists, industry leaders and bike shop employees worldwide.”

Bikerumor writers include Zach Overholt of Ohio who has been with the site since 2010. Based in Prague, Cory Benson became the site’s first European writer in 2013.

Bullish about the site’s progress, Benedict explained: "While other print and online cycling media are cutting pages and reducing staff Bikerumor is doing very well, and we’re actively adding more contributors in order to increase our content production and expand the points of view offered. We now have writers in Canada, the UK, elsewhere in Europe and throughout the US."

Bikerumor will have a team of four covering Eurobike, which starts this weekend.
