30 bike shops already signed up to take advantage of online marketplace

BikeSoup dealer portal now live

Following the launch of bikesoup.co.uk, a new dealer portal is now open as an added resource for retailers to advertise their stock online – and the first two months are free.

Having already signed up 30 dealers, the marketplace is already display a wide and diverse stock. According to the firm: "It’s ‘Win, Win!’ for dealers. Those on board will have access to a national online marketplace, allowing people across the entire country to view their stock. For bike shops who previously relied on a smaller localised market, Bikesoup will enable them to capture new business from a more wider catchment area. Not only that, the dealer portal has an easy-to-use stock management system, and much lower ongoing advertising rates than eBay."

Founder and chief spoke of Bikesoup, Antony Auty commented: “The new dealer portal is a really exciting development which will provide the end-user with an unprecedented selection of bikes to choose from. We hope this will also empower independent bike dealers to sell more and ultimately keep the bike business booming.”

Selling frames, parts and accessories will be possible for private sellers in early 2011.

The site offers the protection from bike thieves via up front billing for private ads.

If you’re a private seller Bikesoup.co.uk is offering 50 per cent off all private adverts until the end of January 2011.
