The third issue of Bikevibe is devoted to Portland, Oregon. The city is "known for its beautiful surroundings, eco-friendliness and coffeehouses but most of all Portland is known for its strong bicycle culture," says a blurb from Bikevibe.
Billed as a "semiannual city journal" Bikevibe is published from Norway but produced in English. It was founded by Mari Oshaug and Silje Strømmen. Volume one of Bikevibe was focussed on Tokyo in Japan; volume two was devoted to the growing bike scene in Oslo, where the magazine is based.
"We aim to capture the bicycle vibe and culture in cities all over the world," said Oshaug.
As an essential part of any city’s bicycle culture bike shops are featured prominently in Bikevibe.
The fat magazines – which are more like books, really – cost £23 ($32) per issue.
