Emily Brooke, creator of laserlight product, now ships to 45 countries

Blaze founder up for EveryWoman entrepreneur gong

Blaze founder Emily Brooke has been shortlisted for a Natwest EveryWoman Award, a ceremony celebrating female entrepreneurs aged 16 to 54.

Now 28, Brooke left Oxford University after only one year of studying Physics to pursue her passion in design, spending six months working with a driving psychologist before developing the Laserlight, which is now shipping to over 45 different countries.

Inspired by a 1,000 mile charity bike ride (raising £60k in the process), Brooke’s journey in the cyclign business began with a successful kickstarter that generated £55,000 in production funds. Since then every pre-order batch has sold out.

Brooke is one of 16 finalists chosen from hundreds of entries.
