Boardman Bikes heading to Manchester’s Bike and Tri Show

Chris Boardman MBE will appear at the forthcoming Bike & Triathlon Show with his Boardman Bikes range.

The Olympic champ and Le Tour stage winner will take part in a signing session during the afternoon of Saturday March 8th at the Manchester Central event next month.

Boardman commented: "I am really looking forward to attending the Bike & Triathlon Show and showcasing our new 2014 Boardman Elite Series. There is certainly something of interest for everyone in our range – whether you’re a cycling enthusiast or an elite athlete, into time trialling, triathlon, sprinting or cyclocross. All our bikes are designed for out and out performance and you’ll be able to see first-hand how our R&D, design and technology developments transcend across all platforms.

“Most exciting, for me, will be showing off our new flagship bike the recently launched Boardman Elite Series AiR/TTE – an aerodynamic triathlon and time trial bike – that is one of the fastest bikes in the world. Now that is something everyone should come and see!"

Colin Gale, event manager for the Bike & Triathlon Show, added: “Chris has had a phenomenal cycling career and remains at the heart of British cycling today so it’s fantastic to be welcoming such a huge cycling legend to the show.”

Other guest appearances at the show include fellow Olympic cycling gold medallists Sir Chris Hoy and Joanna Rowsell.

The second ever Bike & Triathlon Show Sportive will hit the roads of Manchester and the Peak District on March 9th before finishing back at the show, with two routes (42-miles and 22-miles) on offer.

The Bike & Triathlon Show takes place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th March at Manchester Central.
