And new colours for the Birdie and Brownie bikes shown off at Cycle Show

Bobbin Bicycles targets further accessories

Bobbin Bicycles is planning to expand its accessories range in the near future, including three more designs of its wicker basket for spring 2013.

The firm has been in the business for five years, the last year and a half seeing the firm move into wholesaling the Bobbin range.

The brand is currently being retailed in between 43 IBDs as well as in Evans Cycles, with females making up around 80 per cent of its customer base.

Exhibiting for the first time at Cycle Show this year, the firm has also been bringing its range to the world at Eurobike and Interbike. The firm told BikeBiz that despite an ever more significant footing in markets like the US, the UK remains its core market.

At the NEC, Bobbin was showing off a new selection of colours available for its popular Birdie and Brownie bike models. The range will increase to 11 models in spring 2013 (from eight), each in three sizes and coming in a couple of colour options.
