British Cycling confirms team for Tissot UCI track World Cup series

British Cycling has announced the riders who will represent the Great Britain Cycling Team at the final two rounds of the Tissos UCI Track Cycling World Cup series, which will take place in Cali, Colombia from February 17th to the 19th, and Los Angeles from February 25th to the 26th.

Scottish Cycling Performance Programme member Neah Evans will join endurance riders Emily Kay, Danni Khan, Manon Lloyd and Emily Nelson for the Colombian round.

Olympic gold medallist Elinor Barker will travel to Los Angeles along with Chris Latham and Ellie Dickinson.

Head coach Iain Dyer said: “We had a great start to the 2016/17 world cup series campaign with the academy riders relishing the opportunity presented to them by our Olympians taking a post-Rio break. We won seven gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal across the different events and this helped to put us in a great position in terms of qualifying for the world championships.

“The Cali and Los Angeles rounds of the world cup allow us an opportunity to see how the selected riders are progressing following their recent training block in Majorca. The rest of the team are focusing upon fine-tuning their preparations for the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Hong Kong in April.”
