Brompton Bike Hire is to launch seven new rent-a-bike docks. There will be a second and third dock in Birmingham (New Street and Snow Hill), followed by Hassocks, Solihull, Bristol Parkway, and two further sites in London. The folding bikes can be hired for both long or short- term hire.
Harry Scrope, Managing Director of Brompton Bike Hire, said: “Launched in April 2011, Brompton Bike Hire was created to address the clear need for a cycle hire scheme that is accessible to all, highly compact, easy to install, economical to use and not dependant on state subsidy. It’s an exciting time. The company is expanding rapidly across the UK currently, with an interconnected national network of nearly 40 docking stations.”
The automated Brompton Bike Hire docks are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
