Prizes
Brompton has now finalised the prizes for each category. Brompton will be providing the top prize for the fastest Male and Female riders, each receiving an S2L-X (a superlight bike employing titanium componentry) in Sand, a new colour not due for launch before January 2009.

Brooks Saddles and Powertraveller have also signed up as prize sponsorship partners.

Brooks will be sponsoring the Team Event as a whole, as well as the second-place prizes for the Male and Female categories. They will be supplying some leather products to the winners of these categories, ranging from the beautiful Barbican Messenger Bag to the stylish Leather (ankle) Strap. [To enter the team event, a minimum of three and a maximum of five members must enter together, with team results determined on the basis of the fastest three times]

Powertraveller will be rewarding the winning Veterans, Juniors, Best Dressed and third-placed riders in the Male and Female categories, with items from their Primate Power range. Powertraveller will be presenting the winner of the Best Dressed category with their mighty Powergorilla and Movietraveller, an exceptional prize for a category that promises to have some outstanding competitors; the prize will be awarded by a panel of judges after a gruelling process, and will include Jerry Ranger, CEO of Powertraveller, and Brompton’s MD, William Butler-Adams.

Applications Update
Applications for places in the Brompton World Championship are running well ahead of schedule, with over half of places already snapped up. The early enthusiasm for this event has been matched, and in part driven, by coverage, both online and in print (editorial and advertising) in the national and specialist press.

Brompton dealers the world over are receiving in-store materials publicising the World Championship about now, and applications from overseas are expected to grow markedly over the next fortnight.

Brompton expects the event to be full long before registration officially closes on Sunday 14th September.
