And on their backs, too. Plaster your logo and URL on the skin-tight clothing of the two walking billboards at the first Revolution event, Saturday 15th October, Manchester velodrome. On the track, the main attraction will be a head to head 500m sprint with Theo Bos and Chris Hoy.

The Bos vs Hoy race is being billed as Olympic Champion vs the World Champion. Other rainbow jersey riders will also be riding on the night, including Rob Hayles, Mark Cavendish, Chris Newton, Paul Manning and Andy Tennant.

The Revolution track series starts on 15th October and bike trade companies can promote themselves to the 16 000 spectators expected to attend the velodrome across the series. There’s also increased TV exposure for the series this year. Gillette World of Sport will cover the events, a programme shown on Sky and late night terrestrial TV.

IBDs could book the Velodrome shop, a 7.5m by 3.4m shop above the track. Last year the shop was not booked for each event, a disappointment to spectators with cash to burn. The event organisers sold 350 t-shirts and 300 water bottles across the four events, £4000 without really trying.

For track fans looking to wine and dine clients, the track centre hospitality packages have been upgraded. Revolution hampers and wine are now included in the £300 per table price.

Trackside ad boards cost £400 per board for the whole series.

Official partner status can be negotiated with James Pope of the Face Partnership and includes race naming rights, a full page ad in the event programme, a track centre table and extra spectator tickets.
