Retailer And Dutch is to act as distributor for Burgers and Beixo and is currently seeking stockists for the Dutch brands.
The moves comes after And Dutch has retailed Burgers and Beixo since it launched over two years ago.
Burgers (meaning civilians) is the Netherlands’ first and oldest bicycle brand, established in the mid-1800s and unsurprisingly consisting predominantly of classic-retro styled models. The 17-model strong line-up are each available in various gearing, colour and frame size options, catering to ladies, gents and children. In addition to a rear brake each bike comes with an extra fitted front brake, thereby conforming to UK law, as well as a five year warranty on the frame and one year on moving parts.
Beixo, known for its chainless, steel, urban bikes with a shaft drive, provides bicycles that are focused ontransport solutions, including folding bikes. Seven models are available, from folding bike Compact, the stylish Slim city bike with folding handlebar and pedals and the Dutch loop-framed Share. The line-up also includes the GSUS cross bike and the Electra e-bike. Beixo bikes come with a three year warranty on the frame, two years on the shaft drive and one year on moving parts.
And Dutch founder Gert-Jan Baan launched the business with an aim to bring genuine Dutch designs to the UK, following a increase in ‘Dutch-style’ bikes coming to the market. Following his move from the Netherlands to London and running And Dutch since the end of 2010, Baan said he is well placed to offer information and guidance sought by stockists interested in bringing Burgers and Beixo to their customers.
