Australian BMX firm Colony has launched a pre-christmas campaign to encourage micro scooter riders to trade in for a BMX.
The promotion relies on Colony complete bike customers sending in a micro scooter, for which the firm will send out $100 worth (retail value) of selected Colony products as what the firm describes as a ‘welcome to BMX’ package. The promotion runs exclusively in Australia until January 10th.
Though it seemed like the firm first planned to destroy micro scooters, which many skateboarders and BMX riders feel are a nuisance and danger within skateparks, the firm has now confirmed it will donate those scooters traded in to charity.
