With eleven bike ranges under its umbrella and 35 per cent growth year-on-year, Avocet Sports now believes it could be the UK’s largest bicycle suppier by volume to the independent channel.
“Perhaps it’s because we are only focussed on IBDs and also that you won’t find our brands in supermarkets, toy or sports chainstores and mail order catalogues that we get so much loyalty and support from our dealers," said Wayne Clark, Avocet’s sales manager.
"We have also experienced 38 per cent growth at our Coyote Sports division, which offers accessories and parts through the IBD channel too. We have just taken on a 4th unit (24,000 Sq.Ft) to cope with our increased stockholding.“
