BBC to plug RAF team in RAAM

As reported earlier in the week, this year's Insight Race Across America is likely to get greater telly exposure in the US than previous years. And viewers in the UK will also see the event for the first time, thanks to a BBC TV crew following the Royal Air Force team, two-times winner of the RAAM team title. Cyclingnews.com reports that Steve Masters, the architect of the Royal Air Force team's last two RAAM victories,said BBC1 will air a Saturday night, one-hour programme on the RAAM as part of the eight-programme 'Challenge' series.

This series, to air at 8pm, will "see whether an ordinary person could, with the best possible training, compete with elite athletes in a sport that they are unfamiliar with."
