BBC's 'petrolhead' guinneapig is converted to cycling

BBC.co.uk took three self-confessed petrol heads and made them give up their cars for a week. The guinnea-pig handed the bike (not, it must be admitted, a new cyclist) was blown away by the pleasures of getting to work on two wheels and is now thinking of cycling to work full-time...

Steve Clarke, 44, gave up his Vauxhall Vectra for a week after volunteering for BBC News Online's transport challenge.

"It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I arrive at work on an endorphin-high," said Clarke, who reckons he'll keep cycling to work.

"We might even sell our second car."
