Bicycle documentary gets first public cinema airing

1000 people watched the 90-minute documentary at an open air cinema last week, now it moves indoors at Bristol Cycle Festival.
Publish date:

Bicycle, the 90-minute documentary, was watched by an estimated 1000 people at the Festival of Cycling in the grounds of Harewood House last weekend. These cinema goers got to watch the film for free (so long as some of them pedalled, as it was powered by cycle dynamos) and in the open air. Now the film starts its progress around the country, starting at the Curzon Cinema in Clevedon. The documentary is the main attraction at the "Wheels and Reels" day, part of the Bristol Cycle Festival.

BikeBiz executive editor Carlton Reid is one of those interviewed in Bicycle and he will be giving a talk following the film. This is a presentation on his book, Roads Were Not Built For Cars, which he recently finished writing.

To cap off the evening there will be a showing of the quirky, Tour de France themed French animation Belleville Rendezvous.
