From the conclusion of the Tour of Britain to the 65,000 riders taking part in the Skyride, cycling in the capital has had a high profile week. The baton has been picked up by the Bicycle Film Festival, which started in London yesterday and features a number of bike film showings covering ‘all forms and styles’ of the activity.
The event runs until Sunday September 27th with a Bike Polo tournament and Closing Night Party. You can see the packed schedule and get tickets to showings at the official site here.
Amongst the films on show is ‘Where Are You Go’ – a 60 minute film documenting some of the highlights of the annual Tour d-Afrique from Cairo to Cape Town. The film is being screened at the Barbican Centre, Silk Street, London at 6:30pm on Friday September 25th.
The BFF is now in its ninth year and is held in 39 cities around the world, including where the event originally began nine years ago – New York City. Brendt Barbur founded the bicycle-celebrating festival after being knocked off his bike by a bus in NYC.
