The levy-funded cycling-to-school pilot programme has been short listed for the Guardian Public Services Awards 2005 under the category 'Service Delivery - transport'.

Bike It! shortlisted for newspaper award

The winners of the awards will be announced on November 29th at an awards ceremony at the Victoria & Albert Museum. All shortlisted organisations will be invited to attend.

As well as raising the profile of their work and achievements among their colleagues and peers, the winning teams and organisations will also feature in a special awards supplement which will appear in the Guardian. The winning organisations will also be able to use the awards logo on their own promotional material.

The overall winning team will also be offered a Winners’ Day at the Guardian, including a training session on communications and marketing best practice as well as a bespoke management development course courtesy of Hays.
