Bradford event to be held on 24th July at Lister Park

Bike Pure to support 2011 Youth Cycling Championships

Bike Pure has announced it shall be supporting the 2011 UK National Youth Championships, which are being held at Lister Park in Bradford, England on Sunday 24th July.

The UK Youth championships are a highlight on the UK cycling calendar for riders born between 1995 and 2000, with graded events for Youth A, B, C and D categories. Each event will provide a National champion’s jersey for each winner plus medals, trophies and cash prizes for competitors.

The course is held on a 1.85km circuit and will provide worthy winners in each category, incorporating a 350m climb with a gradient of 1 in 12.

Bike Pure co-founder Myles McCorry said "We are very excited to support this event. It’s vitally important that we as an organisation support events such as this. The UK Youth Championships are the very grass roots events that provide our sport with the next generation of riders."

McCorry added, "We feel that education is the key, not only on an anti-doping level, but also on a sporting ethical level providing respect for your fellow competitors. If we can instil these important values upon riders at an early age then we will reap the rewards as they progress through the cycling ranks."

Triton Construction Ltd are the main sponsors for this year’s event and Aire Valley Cycles have lined up as co-sponsors to provide race service for the big day.
