The Bike to Work Book - written by BikeBiz executive editor Carlton Reid - was reissued on Saturday following a major overhaul. First published in 2008, the book has had 250,000 downloads and views on clicky-flicky publishing website Issuu.com and the PDF has been sent to a further 50,000 computers via podcast downloads. The book has always been free to download.
The 112-page e-book is now available for downloading to iPads and iPhones and other devices via a Dropbox link.
Much of the content has been revised and there are new sections on cycling infrastructure and the 'cycling economy'. The section on clothing has been updated with info on Cinelli bike commuting shoes, Levi commuter jeans and women's 'cycle chic' rain jackets designed for riders of upright bikes.
A paid-for print version of the book will be available from Amazon.com later in the year.
