Distributor to attend St Albans-based ‘Bikers Breakfast’ and get staff on their bikes

BIKE WEEK 2009: Fisher pledges support

Distributor Fisher Outdoor Leisure will be backing Bike Week, which kicks off tomorrow (Saturday June 13th), by supporting local cycling activities and promoting staff initiatives.

The firm will attend the local ‘Bikers Breakfast’ event outside St Albans Town Hall on Tuesday June 16th from 7.30am to 9.30am. Fisher will take the opportunity to show attendees how easy and stylish it can be to commute by bike while showcasing the bspoke commuter clothing line and Dahon folding bikes at the Breakfast.

Fisher is also using Bike Week to provide added incentive for its employees to commute by bike and join in weekly staff rides. On Tuesday evenings advanced riders from the firm ride for 20 – 30 miles in the St Albans area, while on Wednesdays Fisher encourages staff at beginners level to join two hour rides led by experienced riders and a MIS qualified instructor. Staff are also encouraged to ride on Thursdays to local tracks.

The distributor also offers staff discounts on bikes, accessories and equipment and will be promoting this offer throughout the week.
