New man joins existing team to boost print and online

BikeBiz appoints new editor

BikeBiz has appointed Jonathon Harker as the editor of BikeBiz.

Harker is a keen cyclist and an experienced business journalist, having worked elsewhere within publisher Intent Media’s leisure and entertainment portfolio. He also brings additional contract publishing skills, following the title’s recent signing of a major deal with Raleigh to produce a regular bespoke publication.

Taking up the new role on Monday December 1st, Harker will work alongside managing editor Lisa Foster, executive editor Carlton Reid and deputy editor Mark Sutton.

"BikeBiz – in print and online – has grown significantly over the past year or so, both in terms of its size and its resonance within the UK cycling industry. So appointing a dedicated day-to-day editor was well overdue," said managing editor Lisa Foster.

"Jonathon has proved himself to be organised, creative and efficient and his experience in media will prove invaluable to BikeBiz going forward.

"We have some exciting plans for the BikeBiz magazine, website and the brand in general going forward and we’re delighted to have Jonathon on board to help us achieve our ambitions."

Jonathon will oversee the further development of the BikeBiz Awards, introduced successfully earlier this year, plus supplement and contract publishing services for cycle companies.
