Merseyside contracts retained. 12,000 kids to benefit

BikeRight opens Liverpool office

BikeRight has opened a new Liverpool office following the retention of the MerseyTravel BikeAbility contract.

As part of the contract, BikeRight will provide 12,000 children from 350 schools in the area cycle training. Hundreds of adults, businesses and community groups will also benefit.

Liz Clarke, MD at BikeRight comments on the move: “We had simply outgrown our previous premises in Kirkdale, but were committed to staying in North Liverpool. The new training centre and maintenance workshop on Derby Road is not only larger but as it was a new-build we were able to fit it out to our exact specification.”

The firm’s new home is in the Connect Business Village near Sandhills Station, an ideal location to access all areas of Merseyside. BikeRight! has taken two adjacent units, comprising offices, training and conference rooms and a fully-equipped professional bicycle maintenance workshop.

The company now permanently employs 44 people on Merseyside.

Clarke added: "This move gives us a better opportunity to offer more services on Merseyside. Interest in our new Driver Education courses and Professional Mechanic Training is very high and we aim to expand on these, as well as our existing portfolio of Freewheeling cycle training, Bite Size Bike Fix and Bikeability.”
