Publish date:

Social enterprise Bikeworks received a prize at this year’s London Business Awards.

Bikeworks received the accolade in the first year that the awards included a prize for social enterprises.

London-based Bikeworks offers a range of organisational and public cycle services, including creating employment and training opportunities for disadvantaged communities.

Bikeworks co-director Dave Miller said: “We are delighted at the recognition for Bikeworks as we look to expand our successful community cycling hub model into other areas of London in the next couple of years.”

West London recently saw the second Bikeworks open in the Kensington and Chelsea area.

There’s a feature on BikeWorks in the forthcoming January issue of BikeBiz, arriving through the post and available online from the first week of January. In the meantime, why not flick through December’s issue here.
