Brake organises Cycle to Work seminar

Brake, the road safety charity, is organising ‘Cycle for Life’ in July, a seminar on how to start and promote a company Cycle to Work salary-sacrificing bike-buying scheme. The event will be held in Islington, London, on Tuesday 17th July, from 12.30 to 4pm.

The seminar will provide expert advice on how to plan and implement a successful cycle to work scheme, including looking at how to measure and report the benefits. It will also discuss targeted educational messages for employees on safe cycling and campaigning on a local level for safe cycle routes in an area to enable staff to cycle to work.

Ryan Bedford, Cycling Manager at BSkyB will provide a case study on how to encourage staff to cycle to work. Also speaking at the seminar is Steve Edgell, Chair of the Cycle to Work Alliance, who will educate companies on how to set up a cycle to work scheme and also how to ensure employees and other cyclists are safe and able to plan their journeys.
