Smith to work alongside founder McCrossan

Brian Smith becomes Cyclevox director

Former teammate of Lance Armstrong, twice British road race champion, cycling commentator and founder of the Braveheart Fund, Brian Smith has joined Cyclevox full time as a director.

Cyclevox was founded at the beginning of 2008 by Anthony
McCrossan to provide the cycling industry with one stop access to commentary, media, sponsorship and consultancy.

The company has made a firm start, building a variety of clients through the past year. Smith will work alongside McCrossan to provide their clients with advice, guidance on sponsorship and will provide his insight and analysis on television and at events across the cycling world.

Founder Anthony McCrossan said: "I have worked with Brian as my co-commentator on hundreds of days of cycling. His network in the cycling world and commercially is impressive and he has an excellent ability to develop excellent commercial relationships.

"Our aim at Cyclevox is to provide teams, promoters, broadcasters and brands with the ability to pick up the phone with an idea, get good advice and importantly get things done professionally and on time.

"This year we have worked with incredibly innovative clients such as London Paris, the new Cervelo Test Team, Rapha, High Road Sports, The Salford Nocturne just to name a few. We also filmed the British BMX Championships for British Cycling and Sky Sports, launched the Chris Hoy Scholarship and also The Tour Series (alongside Sweetspot). That’s not a bad first year for a new company.

"Brian is a fantastic addition to Cyclevox and we are looking forward to a great 2009."
