Brightside to launch new products at Cycle Show 2016

Topside is the new crash helmet light to be unveiled by newcomer Brightside Bike Lights at the 2016 Cycle Show.

This new product follows Brightside’s unique design for a light that shines to the side of the bike to increase visibility. However, Topside will have a much a higher brightness – in technical terms more lumens – and a red and white LED for the front and rear.

The independent start-up, which enjoyed phenomenal launch success with the patent pending light at last year’s event, is the latest to sign up to the show which runs from 23rd September to 25th September, following the trade and press preview on 22nd September.

Owner of Brightside Bike Lights Aidan Gribbin said: “The original Brightside light design had been kept a secret and the show was the perfect opportunity to gain the feedback I needed before I went ahead with the first production run.

“The response was amazing and our stall was swamped all weekend, we generated a huge number of excellent contacts and I could have sold the eight prototypes a thousand times over.”

Spending more time behind the wheel than the handlebars and after a near miss with a cyclist on a roundabout, Gribbin initially designed a light to shine from the sides of the bike, filling in the rather large unlit gap between the front and rear lights.

Brightside’s flagship double ended, amber, rechargeable lights focus solely on the sides of the bike, and shines and flashes like most other bike lights.

Brightside Bike Lights will be at stand F49 at this year’s Cycle Show.

The Cycle Show takes place this September 23rd to 25th at the NEC, Birmingham. The UK’s longest running cycle exhibition, this year will see 283 companies taking part and over 28,000 visitors in attendance.
