British Cycling's Sue Bence, who has handled thousands of claims from British Cycling members over the past five years, becomes an employee of Leigh Day. Other BC personnel will join Bence.

The outsourcing move will be completed by May 7th.

British Cycling's Chief Executive Peter King said: "This is an opportunity to enhance an already excellent service and there is potential for adding value to BC membership as a consequence.

"As claimant specialists, Leigh Day are ideally suited to the specific needs of our members and Sue Bence's continued presence at the head of the service is a welcome bonus."
