Pavilion Insurance Management will provide a range of cycling insurance options for British Cycling members in a three-year deal. The new, 'everydaycycling'-linked website uses the same data as Pavilion's Cycleguard website. IBDs who use this website can earn referral fees, there's no such referral structure on the British Cycling insurance website

British Cycling signs new insurance deal

The new product will be marketed under the BC Insurance banner, and will be delivered via a new website, http://www.bcinsurance.co.uk and PavilionÂ’s call centre on a dedicated number, tel: 02476 851099.

British Cycling will be promoting the new insurance deal on its corporate website as well as the soon-to-launch off-shoot website aimed at recreational cyclists, http://www.everydaycycling.co.uk

Pavilion reported cycle insurance sales 110 per cent ahead of 2005 in Q1 of 2006. The company markets it sinsurance products as Cycleguard.

Chairman and CEO, Andrew Selby said: “We have widened our product offerings in cycle insurance to encompass more users of bikes both in the commuting, leisure and sports use, and together with our strategic partnerships and a particularly strong demand in urban commuting use, we are seeing very encouraging growth."
