The Duke of Edinburgh visited Brompton Bicycle’s London HQ this week.

He was met by Lord Lieutenant of Greater London, Sir David Brewer CMG JP, a familiar figure at the firm after presenting Brompton with its two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.

His Royal Highness was introduced to Andrew Ritchie and present MD Will Butler-Adams, as well as other members of the board of directors, before being presented with a model Brompton and a book of images from the 2009 Brompton World Championship.

The British design-backing Duke took a detailed tour of the BikeBiz Award winner's facility, including the Engineering and Brazing sections, meeting many staff members during the walk-round.

Ritchie had invited the Prince to visit following Brompton’s Prince Philip Designer’s Prize win.
