Bumper weekend ahead for bike trade

So says Halfords. They're well up on sales compared to this time last year and most urban IBDs should also benefit from the nation's sudden realisation that we may be relying too heavily on one easily blockaded means of powering the economy
Publish date:

Halfords marketing and merchandising director David Clayton-Smith says cycle sales are up 36 percent on the same time last year, with sales of inner tubes and repair kits up by 18% percent.

"We expect these trends to continue until petrol sales get back to normal and we're bracing ourselves for a bumper weekend."
