Vic Lee, a designed from Clerkenwell, East London, helped create the unique Brompton’s for the winners. He said: “It has been great to collaborate with Brompton on this project. Over the past few years I have been working on this style of scene, featuring different areas that I know well in the capital. Brompton make the ultimate London bike so I was fully up for the challenge of illustrating this on the bike itself.”

Brompton's head of design Will Carleysmith added: “We had been working with Vic on creating a new flap design for one of the bags. Vic had been wondering how the style might look against a white main frame, so we gave him one to do some testing on. As soon as it came back, I knew we had to make a bike out of this; the extra detailing in the components just finishes it off. Whoever wins this will be sitting on a real one of a kind.”

The BWC will see 750 riders from 31 countries.
