Halfords.com smashed all previous website records on Christmas day, outselling last year and recording a new high in web traffic.
The website saw four per cent more orders than the same time last year, with an 11 per cent increase in visitor numbers, making it the busiest day in the website’s history.
The most popular hour to shop was between 11 pm until midnight.
Just over ten per cent of all visits came from a mobile device.
Bikes were not in the the top three best-selling items, which were as follows:
