"We have a hydraulic brake for every level of rider," says Tony Wright.

Clarks broadens hydraulic brake catalogue

Clarks has announced a much broadened hydraulic brake range for 2013, with the firm telling BikeBiz: “We firmly believe that we now have a hydraulic brake for every level of rider”.

The line-up now includes the New EXO redesigned for 2013 to be even lighter and more compact than ever before. The Clarks Skeletal Hydraulic brake remains and completing the line up is a brand new range of three power packed CNC brakes.

Launched last year the Clarks CNC range was a breakthrough development for the firm. By adopting a leading edge ‘hollow-out’ manufacturing process, Clarks CNC takes the weight out of the key components.

Tony Wright MD at Clarks said: “We mean everyone when we say we think we’ve something for all kinds of riders. That goes for everyone from the cyclists who just want to ride single track to the downhill competition rider. With our expanded range of hydraulic brakes retailing from as a little as £69.98, through to £199.99, we are giving our customers an even better choice of price and quality.”

That’s a point of view that is supported by the success of the Clarks range, with over one million brakes being fitted to OEM bikes last year.

Further to the disc brakes, Clarks claims to have stripped plenty of weight out of both its brake and gear cables, with gear systems claiming to be some 58 per cent lighter than standard cables.

You’ll be able to see the fully extended range of Clarks Hydraulic brakes, as well as the complete Clarks CNC range and the BMX range from Evoke at the Taipei International Cycle Show 20th – 23rd March, on booth number M0104 & M0106. 01827 382 800
