New Netherlands-based hub to provide speedy deliveries to key Euro territories

Clarks opens new European warehouse and distribution centre

Clarks Cycle Systems has opened a new European warehouse and distribution centre in in Enschede, in the Netherlands.

Enschede is close to the German border, and the new hub means same day deliveries can be made to Germany and throughout Netherlands, while deliveries can be made within 24 hours to France.

Initially focusing on cables, cable components, disc brakes and rubber pads the new facility is set to provide fast and reliable distribution and quality service throughout Western and Eastern Europe, said Clarks.

The new operation will be run by Gerard Van Der Veer, a well known figure in the bicycle industry with over 25 years experience.

Managing director Tony Wright said: “We work closely with our customers to give them what they need, when they need it and the opening of our new European Warehouse and Distribution Centre strengthens our commitment to our European customers and the service levels we demand of ourselves.”

The components and accessories supplier works in the OEM and Aftermarket, with established design and manufacturing bases in the UK, China and Taiwan.

Clarks said that much of its success is due to a “dedication to innovation in materials and design. Keeping pace with the ever-changing face of the cycle industry and ensuring they have the right products for their customers and their customer’s customers.”

“All our products are designed with one thing in mind – ‘fit for function’,” Wright added.
