Continental builds mudguard into Der Baron packaging

Continental has made the most of otherwise throwaway plastic packaging for the new Der Baron, cleverly integrating a free fork-mounted mudguard.

The new enduro-suited rubber is set for stores this month and measures 2.4", available for 26, 27.5 and 29". The four layer construction utilises a Protective Apex sidewall stabliser to improve trail tracking and is tubeless ready.

Debuted at Eurobike, Continental told BikeBiz this unique packaging will be limited to bricks and mortar stores at only ten units per store. The limited edition version will retail at €67 each.
