Mari Mattila from Finland graduates from the Masters design course this year and her Kevlar-mix fabric will be on public display at the the University of Derby Green

Lane site, May 9-10th.

Other graduating pieces on display include togs for urban scooter-wear, bouldering, in-line skating and wearable electronics.

Mattila's Kevlar-mix fabric has a soft handle, smart enough for work clothes, but offers

protection for urban cycling.
