The two-week holiday package is in partnership with South Australian Tourism Commission, Malaysian Airlines, Bikestyle Tours, Sports Tours International as well as The Jacobs Creek Tour Down Under.

The package includes one week’s riding following The Tour Down Under, and includes free entry to the 'be active tour': an 150km Etape du Tour-style ride which follows Stage 2 of the Jacob’s Creek Tour Down Under before the professionals follow later the same day.

CTC Director Kevin Mayne said: “The promoters of the tour were looking for a European partner and came to us with a great package which we have tailored for the requirements of UK cyclists.

"As the Tour Down Under is contained within South Australia we have been able to arrange it so we can have a touring or training ride, excursions and watch the racing every day from a fixed base in Adelaide. This is an absolutely unique combination, plus we have got the best guides and the top tour supporters’ package all thrown in. It will suit riders of any ability and we have opened it up to anyone, not just CTC members.”

Tour leaders will include former professional cyclist, Neil Stephens. CTC president and TV commentator Phil Liggett will be at the Tour.

The Jacobs Creek Tour Down Under takes place in and around Adelaide, South Australia from January 18th to 23rd, 2005. The CTC party will be enrolled in the Club Tour supporters club, which includes special entry to the VIP-only Teams Presentation, enjoy reserved seating & catering in prime viewing areas for city stages, and receive tickets to the Club Tour BBQ at the Hilton Adelaide and exclusive Club Tour merchandise.

The price of the holiday is £2500 and includes flights and hotel accommodation.
