A selection of pics from the first of the consumer days

Cycle Show opens doors to the public

If you missed the trade day yesterday, there’s still time to go along to Cycle Show this year, with the public days running from today to Sunday. If you haven’t made it yet, then BikeBiz has compiled another selection of images from the NEC-set event for you.

We’ll also have our in-depth write-up in the November edition of the magazine.

But in the meantime…

Literally the first bike you come to, other than the ones in the handy bike park outside the NEC, is a limited edition Kansi. Fisher’s many stands at the show are located behind.

Also close by, the team at the Forza brand (Bengt and Jo) took dealers and customers through the revamped range on the Moore Large (aka Todays Cyclist) stand.

Further in the halls was the lively Condor stand.

The Saddleback-sponsored Castelli Cafe proved a hit with the cycle buying public on the first consumer day.

Upgrade’s Rory Hitchens gets to grip with a new (carbon) frame from Pivot.

It’s usually all about the latest models, but Cycle Show 2011 also saw some of the oldest – via the National Cycle Collection stand.

Which also contained a familiar bike once ridden by one Chris Boardman.

The BMX arena was a popular part of the show on the first consumer day.

There’ll be plenty more coverage from the show online and in the print edition of the magazine.
