Sustrans will be hosting a seminar in Stratford-upon-Avon on
Wednesday 10th November on the benefits of cycle tourism. A recent study showed that cycle tourism contributes £635m to the UK economy annually
Increased awareness of the health and fitness benefits to be gained from cycling means cycle tourism represents a growing market, says Mike Collins, Sustrans PR officer.
The National Cycle Network will help foster this growth by providing a cycling infrastructure, access to the countryside and raising the profile of cycling. Case studies from The Celtic Trail in South Wales and the Sea to Sea (C2C) in the North of England will be highlighted at the seminar and strategies on how to promote and market cycle tourism will be discussed.
The seminar will be held at the Leisure Centre, Bridgeway, Stratford-upon-Avon, from 10:30am to 15:20. Tel: 0117 926 8893.
