Cyclescheme and Altura has joined forces to celebrate equipment only Cycle to Work requests, with £2,500 worth of BikeMiles prizes up for grabs for consumers.

On the 1st of March, 2013 Cyclescheme launched their new equipment only process, following clarification from HMRC on the C2W scheme. This means that Cyclescheme commuters can now obtain safety equipment without the need to include a bike in their request.

The total prize pot is valued at over £2,500 and the top ten commuters in March will each get an Altura Night Vision Jacket and a pair of Altura Night Vision trousers, a bundle worth over £100. 25 runners-up will receive a Cateye EL340 Econom / Rapid 3 light set each worth £59.99.

340,000 cyclists in the UK have access to BikeMiles and can therefore take part in the challenge, said Cyclescheme.
