The components include hinges, handle posts, cranksets, pedals and PostPumps

Dahon has unveiled plans to formally offer technical expertise via folding components and licensing to partners.

The components include hinges, handle posts, cranksets, pedals and PostPumps.

The new technology sharing programme features the D4D Quickpark Stem, which is built for 26 inch and larger wheels.

The component can adjust the handlebar’s height, reach and axial angle, and it can rotate the handlebar 90 degrees around a vertical axis.

It is part of Dahon’s Flatpak Technology, and is made of aluminium alloy and weighs 600 grams.

Joining the technology sharing lineup is the The Post-Pump II, a slim bike pump that can be stored inside seat posts of either 31.6 or 33.9mm.

It weighs 130 grams, is made of alloy and can reach 110psi.

The all-new Jaws hinge is the latest evolution in Dahon’s LockJaw technology and will also be available through the programme.

The hinge employs 'seamless and sturdy' teeth to lock hydroformed shapes into place.

Also on offer is Dahon’s Quick Draw Pedals, which feature a quick-release system that the brand has said can be operated with one hand and without tools.

Dahon debuted some its new technology along with a new range of folding bikes at the Taipei Cycle Show.
